Dense chromatic planes and breathing zones create pictorial refuges where the gaze slows and the mind takes shelter. Escaping to hide, hiding to design, designing to create respite: this poetic chain carves a place of suspension and retreat. Hiding becomes a strategy of visibility; what is hidden vibrates in presence. The series tensions the tradition of revealing in painting, proposing retreat as a gesture of resistance and self-care. It begins with the question: how can hiding something make it even more visible? The work does not reveal; it conceals, masks, retreats, and in doing so, invites the audience to imagine what is missing, what is erased, what wants to be said. Part of the Hide and Seek project, the work activates a visual and conceptual interplay with what is shown and what insists on not being shown, creating pictorial, psychological, and performative spaces where presence and erasure coexist.
