My research investigates how bodies, images, narratives, and artistic practices enter systems of visibility, value, circulation, and cultural legitimation — and under what conditions they are refused.

Working across artistic practice, curatorial projects, public programmes, writing, documentation, and platform-building, I approach research as a situated process of making, showing, mediating, documenting, and circulating.

Research Areas

Dissident Bodies, Representation and Self-Representation

This research line investigates how dissident bodies are represented, interpreted, classified, corrected, erased, or allowed to appear within cultural, institutional, juridical, and visual systems. It focuses on intersex self-enunciation, narrative sovereignty, bodily legibility, opacity, public address, and the right to narrate one’s own story without being reduced to evidence, confession, or spectacle.

Ecologies and Infrastructures of Visibility

This research line examines the systems through which bodies, images, artworks, narratives, and cultural practices become visible, valued, circulated, legitimized, or refused. Visibility is approached not as simple exposure, but as an ecology involving institutions, exhibitions, archives, documentation, platforms, markets, publics, and critical discourse.

South American Art, Circulation and Cultural Legitimation

This research line approaches South America as a specific critical field of artistic production, thought, circulation, and listening. Rather than treating South American art as a regional category, it investigates the asymmetries, routes, platforms, and institutional conditions through which artists, works, and practices from the South of the South enter local and international circuits.

Memory, Discard, Residue and Material Persistence

This research line investigates traces, ruins, residues, waste, trauma, care, and material persistence. It considers how matter carries memory and conflict, and how discarded or unstable forms can become artistic, political, and affective structures.

Curatorial Practice, Public Programmes and Institution-Building

This research line understands curating as the construction of conditions for works, artists, spaces, institutions, and publics to enter into relation. It includes exhibitions, public programmes, artistic-curatorial occupations, critical writing, cultural mediation, platform-building, and the creation of institutional contexts.

Lens-Based, Digital and Hybrid Media

This research line focuses on photography, video, moving image, digital platforms, integrated media, technological systems, and image-based practices. It investigates how images and devices participate in the production of cultural visibility, public presence, circulation, and value.
